People bag on Christianity continually but it seems the radical sections of the Muslim population, which is not the majority, get a pass as if they're expected to resort to violence at the slightest infringement on Islam.
It's the focus of the adherents of any religion to represent the tenets of their faith as best as possible & to show their faith as worthy for others to follow. These acts put an undue amount of negative light on an entire faith due to the actions of a relative few.
Tbh, Some action is warranted, granted not violence but some sort of action. People don't bag on muslim extremists because they can empathize with the middle east. The U.S supports tyrannical governments in the middle east, drops drones in the middle east just cause they feel like it, take their resources and then try to impose their culture and beliefs on them. Obviously some people are gonna react excessively.
Also, it's all relative. Someone made an excellent post about how Islam is a couple hundred years younger than Christianity and people shouldn't forget that two or three hundred years ago extremist Christians were holding those witch trials and killing any non Christians. It seems to be a pattern.
