Re: Florida Championship Wrestling 89

Missy finally gets out of the ring and decides to just sit in a ringside chair, and itís good timing as Doug Gilbert is up next. Gilbert comes to the ring to a mix of boos and jeers as many of the fans already can tell he has zero chance tonight. A few get on him for his relationship with Missy and we hear some salty language over the air.

Missy gives Doug a big hug and wishes him luck, as from the other entrance comes the Great Muta. Muta has an impressive light show, for 89, with the lights combining with green colored dry ice to get some oohs and aahs from the crowd. Manager Gary Hart stops by the announcerís desk and tells Gordon that Doug Gilbert will be made an example of tonight.

Hart is true to his word as Muta is all over Gilbert much to Missyís dismay. Chops and karate kicks are followed by a dive through the ropes onto Gilbert outside the ring, then wasting no motion, a hop onto the apron and a spinning kick that wow the crowd and wipes out Gilbert.

Referee Bill Alfonso nearly stops the match but Gilbert manages to crawl back into the ring before the 10-count. Springboard elbow in the corner and Gilbert is laid out in the center of the ring, with the moonsault off the top rope easily finishing the match.

Gordon says Muta is a far more dangerous individual now than when he wrestled in FCW three years ago as a rookie, and whatever training heís had since then has turned him into a machine. Missy is in the ring and is trying to help Doug but heís beaten so badly he can barely recognizes her and stumbles out of the ring; she instead walks out to Gordon and asks him if Scott Hall will be wrestling the next match and Gordon says yes, his semifinal match vs. Cactus Jack Manson is next.
