Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
I was at school as it was happening, I got home and noticed a friend of mine was locked out of his house with his family all out. So I rushed into the house to drop off my school bag and saw some building in a foreign country on fire. As a child I thought nothing of it because I was used to seeing tragedies on the news and rushed out to hang out with my friend.
It was only the net day in school that I began to understand the significance of what happened when everybody was talking about it. I found it strange that nobody in school would ever talk about stuff going on in the middle east or Africa but as soon as something happened to America it was at the fore of everyone's thoughts.
Such a tragic event and to this day, I have this morbid fascination with it. I especially enjoy the Channel 4 mode documentaries about 9/11 and find them fascinating.
