Default Re: How big was Ultimate Warrior in his prime?

Warrior was insanely over in hisday.

The fact that he got a fan following today, and got mentioned on WWE from time to time is one indication he is a big name and a cult figure. The most recent time was when WWE made the list of wrestlers who should come back for one more match. The Self Destruction DVD was just overly WWE bashing propaganda, since Warrior refused to come to terms with McMahon. As metioned, the DVD is made buy ass kissers to McMahon, and people who hated him. Why not have wrestlers who liked Warrior, guys like Virgil, Kamala, Savage, Sherri, Martel among others.

I don't get it why people claim he has a huge ego and it would be something negative. Warrior, just like Goldberg, Lesnar saw the wrestling business as a business. Get, make it to the top, earn money and get out. Dont be like used up guys like Flair or Valentine still wrestling in small venues, living on their past glory.

Warrior sure got a huge ego, but he is one of the few that got the better of McMahon and left on his own terms (well he got fired on times too), and refused to go back. In 1998 Warrior got at huge deal with WWE, but refused to come back. He made his moeny and wanted to be in control of his own destiny. From his past experinces with McMahon, who made anything to own the Warrior character and stuff.
How many wrestler go to autograph signings, supposed to be there for 2 hours but stays 6 hours, so that everyone could meet him who wanted to.
