One time, when I was stationed in Pensacola, Florida (USA), there was a gay pride parade going on at the beach near base (maybe 20-30 minutes away). This was 4 years ago. The entire base was on lock down; no one was allowed to leave. We all had to stay on base the entire day. On top of that, we were told not to go to the beach that day, nor talk to anyone at the gay pride parade.
