Default Re: Sports you like and dislike?

There's no sports I honestly dislike, but as an Englishmen I'm a big football fan. I also enjoy boxing.

The Olympics got me into so many sports. Truth is, at the right time, ANY sport can become exciting and watchable. In the last 2 months I have been entertained by the big sports like the athletics and football, right down to being massively interested in table tennis, Judo, Hockey, Volleyball and Archery.

England could put some time getting sports other than Football, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis and Golf over and get kids excited about them and we could have an influx of healthy kids growing up into winning Olympic athletes.

Hockey, netball, basketball are all sports played in school that are pretty much forgotten about. TV coverage not at the olympics or Commonwealth games could really bring sports into new light. It would take a terrestrial channel like 5 to throw on Volleyball one Saturday afternoon and hype it. I'm 25 and watching some of them made me want to play it!

I don't watch Golf or Cricket, but if I was offered a cheap day out at either when I had no plans, I'd be there in a shot. Not really sure how people can dislike sports that aren't violent.
