AUGUST 19, 2012:

Live! From the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California
“It's A PUNK Party!”

» it’s a PUNK PARTY! » Anyone who holds a championship in the WWE knows their belt doubles as a target that every superstar has an eye on. But what happens when it’s two of the company’s biggest and most vicious superstars that are after you? This is a situation that WWE Champion CM Punk knows very well, recently finding himself in the middle of a heated rivalry between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. HHH and Lesnar have been going back and forth over the past few weeks with verbal and physical assaults on each other, all for the sake of becoming the number one contender to the WWE Championship. Last Monday night, Lesnar and Triple H reluctantly worked together to gain contendership, but tonight, there’s no teams, there’s no extra stipulations. There’s just three men, one match, and the most coveted prize in the WWE: The WWE Championship. At the biggest party of the summer, we’re sure to see one of the biggest FIGHTS of the summer. Which of these heavy hitters will walk out victorious?

» new HEIGHTS » A superstar’s quest for gold in the WWE is always metaphorically compared to climbing a ladder; However, at Summerslam, that climb becomes literal for two of WWE’s most talented young superstars. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler will defend against Shelton Benjamin in a ladder match! Neither of the men are strangers to the dangerous contest, having some of the most memorable matches of their careers in ladder matches – but like the WWE in general, ladder matches are always unpredictable. Which superstar will take home the gold?

» BATTLE of the MASKS! » Rey Mysterio returned from a brief hiatus last week on RAW to get revenge on the mysterious masked monster known as ‘Mr. S.’ The towering assailant escaped the revenge attempt, but there will be no surprises come Summerslam. General Manager Layfield ordered that Mr. S compete in a match against Mysterio at Summerslam! This is sure to be a David and Goliath battle – will history repeat itself? Or will the dominant powerhouse Mr. S remain undefeated?

» a TABLE for SIX! » Simon Dean and his two new partners David Otunga and John Morrison (The Fit Club) have taken RAW by storm, promising to ‘trim the fat’ from the roster. They claim there’s no challenge too big for them, and Summerslam will be a true test! At the biggest party of the summer, the Fit Club will take on Rikishi, Brodus Clay, and Big Show in a Six Man Tag Elimination Tables Match! Obviously, getting these mammoths through a table will be quite the challenge, but you can never underestimate the cunning of any of the Fit Club’s members. Yes, there will be wood, but the question is… for whom?

» double JEAPOARDY! » Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, and Randy Orton have gone back and forth verbally and physically over the World Heavyweight Championship for the past few weeks on RAW. Last week, the physical battle would escalate into a two on one beating on the new World Champion leaving Orton practically defenseless against the two ego-maniacs… and then came the wild card. Now, The Undertaker has returned, and has made it clear that he has his eyes on the World Championship. As a result, the four men were placed in a Double Jeopardy Match! Meaning, the four superstars will compete in two separate matches in the ring at the same time, and the winners of those matches will go on to face each other! Now that the stage is set, which two of the four superstars will win their starting matches – and then face each other in the final bout for the World Title?
