As awesome as the achievements of Michael Phelps (and Mark Spitz & Ian Thorpe before him) are, I think it's a bit weird to have so many different types of swimming events over the same distance.
If they added events like the 100m hop I'm pretty sure Usain Bolt would have a good chance of winning them too. But they don't because running's faster.
