Rise Of The Planet of the Apes: 8.5/10
First time I ever watched a whole "Planet of the Apes" movie. It was surprisingly good, and kept me the edge. The cure for Alzheimer's was tested in Apes because it was too risky for humans. It worked too well. The animals got smarter and an unfortunate mishap caused the project to be terminated. Every Ape was destroyed, except one. Little Cesar, who was taken in by the head scientist of the operation to live with him and his father. The trials of raising an ape never was thought of, until they realized that Cesar had the trait of the other smart Apes. The scientist, down on luck, used the same treatment on his father, not sure of the effects on humans. It was great, for awhile, but ultimately, it lead to his undoing.
