Back then Superstars was filmed quite a bit in advance and sometimes even a couple of shows back to back to save money which still doesn't make Hulk Hogan look any better considering he was WWE champion. Once WWE began to do more tv tapings, house shows and talk of more PPV back in early 1992 we saw Hulk Hogan leave following WrestleMania 8 and then when he returned in early 1993 he clearly didn't like the schedule or the fact he wasn't going to be the sole focus so he left again. When he returned in 2002 he really believed that it was going to be all about him yet again but when it became clear it wouldn't he cited being "unhappy with how he was being used" and wanted out again which is why he was allowed to go in mid 2002 on the basis he lost to Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar but came back for WrestleMania 19 for a major pay day in the biggest hyped match for the PPV.
