Re: Sting - A WWE Career That Never Happened
May be a bit different but their clash in styles would have been great, Sting vs. Angle is something I find very intriguing. Angle circa 2001-2003 in his prime.
This was meant to happen at WrestleMania 18 when Vince McMahon really thought he has signed Sting and this period in time was the time when Sting was talking about not going to WWE because of The Rock belittling Booker T and him being concerned about how he would be used as he didn't want his character to be killed off as many ex WCW guys had happen. Back in between early 2001 and early 2003 there wasn't a better in ring worker anywhere in the world than Kurt Angle and Sting/Angle at WrestleMania 18 would have torn the roof off before Rock/Hogan had even happened.
On topic though and the reality is you can only really even try to imagine Sting facing people in WWE from mid 2001 onwards because he wouldn't leave WCW under any circumstances because he was so loyal to the company. I would have loved to have seen Sting/Triple H in 2002 once Triple H had turned heel again, Sting/Angle at any point, Sting/Lesnar at any point, Sting/Edge any time in between 2005 and 2007, Sting/Jericho in 2008, Sting/Orton in 2009 and Sting/Undertaker but i wouldn't want to see it as much anymore unless The Undertaker went all sadistic heel like when he was in The Ministry even just for a while and Sting went all silent and dark like 1996-1998.
