Monday Night Raw Preview
September 5, 2011
Tacoma Dome - Tacoma, Washington

Tonight, Monday Night Raw comes live to all of the WWE Universe from the Tacoma Dome, in Tacoma, Washington! Coming off of the chaotic and controversial events of last week, the Superstars of Raw certainly have the goal in mind of building momentum towards WWE's next Pay-Per-View extravaganza, Night of Champions! There are six Superstars in particular that are desperate to prove their superiority over their adversaries and those six are the six men competing for the WWE Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions! WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio will be defending against CM Punk, John Cena, The Miz, R-Truth AND Kofi Kingston in a hotly anticipated affair which will see all six men fight tooth and nail to earn the richest prize in the company. After fending off an impressive effort by the "underdog" Kofi Kingston last week, this week the WWE Champion will face off against another one of his rivals and a man that he has had some very personal issues with these past couple of weeks following their hot stand off two weeks ago in John Cena. The result of that confrontation was Del Rio's personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez being forced to miss last week's Raw following a huge Attitude Adjustment from Cena. This match will gage how well these two men are prepared going into Buffalo and it is sure to be a blockbuster.

Another match that will feature two Six-Pack Challenge participants is also booked for tonight in Tacoma. We will see CM Punk squaring off with one half of The Awesome Truth, The Miz. Both are former WWE Champions and both - especially last week - have been dealing with issues between themselves and Raw's two resident authority figures. The Miz and his tag team partner, R-Truth, have caused all kinds of carnage on Raw in the past month, and last week, the COO of the WWE, Triple H sought to make an example out of The Awesome Truth and banished them from the arena up until their main event No Disqualifications Tag Team Match against Punk and John Cena. This did not sit well with the outspoken duo, as both men were full of complaints at the situation. The victory for The Awesome Truth however; many would give the assist to the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis distracted Punk, which earned the Straight Edge Superstar a Little Jimmy Finale onto a steel chair and Miz then got the win by pinning Punk. Laurinaitis' involvement was surely down to Punk's earlier accusations of him being the man responsible for Kevin Nash's recent series of attacks on Punk. Will Punk and Miz be able to concentrate on each other and not the management? Find out tonight on Raw!

Over the past three weeks, a personal rivalry over the United States Championship between Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio has been developing, and after last week, where Mysterio teamed with Alex Riley to defeat Ziggler and Drew McIntyre (albeit after Ziggler abandoned McIntyre), Mysterio has a better claim than anyone else to say that he is the rightful man that should be facing Ziggler for the gold at Night of Champions. Mysterio got his wish, and these two are going to face off against each other in Buffalo, but not before tonight, where we will see the United States Champion in action, obviously accompanied by his manager Vickie Guerrero, take on one half of last week's winning team, Alex Riley. A win for Riley would bolster his own title ambitions, but the champion will be looking to silence a credible threat in the Varsity Villain and send a message to Mysterio.

The Divas of the WWE have been divided for the majority of the year over those who are "wrestlers" and those who are "models". The Divas Champion, a "Model" Kelly Kelly, will defend her title against Beth Phoenix, a "wrestler". Both have aligned themselves with other Divas who agree with them or just have an issue with the other Divas, so tonight we are going to see EIGHT of WWE's Divas in tag team action! The champion will team with Eve Torres, and The Chickbusters (Kaitlyn & AJ) and those four beauties will go against the dominant Divas of Doom (Phoenix & Natalya) as well as the devilish Bella Twins! With all of these combustible elements being thrown into one match sparks will surely fly!

If you ask a fan of the WWE Universe who the person they hate the most in the WWE right now, the majority will say "The All American American" Jack Swagger. After his embarrassment of losing twice in a row to one of the WWE's fastest rising stars in Zack Ryder, Swagger has taken it upon himself to make Ryder's life a living hell. After assaulting Ryder's friend and backstage interviewer Scott Stanford and putting him on the shelf for an unspecified amount of time, Swagger then tried to get into Ryder's head by refusing to compete in a match against Ryder last week, riling Long Island Iced-Z. This week, another one of Zack's friends and one of Ryder's former tag team partners, Primo, has decided to defend his friends honour and take on Swagger.

Confirmed for Raw:

Non-Title Match:
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs John Cena

"The Voice of the Voiceless" CM Punk vs "The Awesome One" The Miz

Non-Title Match:
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs "The Varsity Villain" Alex Riley

8-Diva Tag Team Match:
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, Eve & The Chickbusters vs The Divas of Doom & The Bella Twins

"The All-American American" Jack Swagger vs Primo

I know I said I was taking this slowly, but I only have two of the matches and one promo left to write. Thank you all so much for all of the comments!
