Re: WWE: A Strong Response
>End of 2008 for Orton & Christian!<
At Survivor Series last night we saw Christian taken away in an ambulance after an altercation with his brother, Edge in the parking lot. Also, Randy Orton was the victim of two sledgehammer shots at the hands of Triple H in the triple threat match for the WWE Championship.
We can now confirm that Christian has suffered some damage to his spine that will see him unable to compete for the rest of the year. Orton’s injuries relate to his ribs, and we’ve been advised that he suffered broken ribs as a result of the sledgehammer shots from Triple H. It’s believed that he too will out of action until the New Year.
>Rookies Learn Their Fate!<
Over the last couple of months we have seen rookies competing on both Raw & Smackdown fighting for the chance to earn a permanent spot on their respective shows, and today they were told of their fate.
Eric Bischoff has handed full time contracts to five of the eight rookies on Raw with Justin Gabriel, Homicide, Joe Hennig, Ezekiel Jackson and one half of the new World Tag Team Champions, Mystico. Those who were unlucky not to earn a contract are Heath Slater & Shantelle Taylor, as well as Darren Young who we saw learn his fate last Monday night on Raw when he & Randy Orton were defeated by Batista & Triple H.
Tazz has given half of the rookies on Smackdown a permanent place on the roster with Alberto Del Rio-Ramirez, TJ Wilson & Yoshi Tatsu gaining contracts in addition to J-Red who will challenge Johnny Jeter again this Friday night for the Cruiserweight Championship many feel would be his right now if it wasn’t for his former mentor, Chavo Guerrero. The ones who haven’t been handed contracts are Michelle McCool’s rookies, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes, as well as Skip Sheffield & Nikki Roxx.
Starting tonight, these rookies will no long be rookies as they start their full time careers, and the hard work begins here.
