Re: WWE 2005: Raising the Bar.
Would still love for any feedback on the last Smackdown show but if not, never mind! Anyways, onwards and upwards...WWE Monday Night Raw Preview- 20/6/05- Boise, Idaho
The final stop on the road to Vengeance comes from the Idaho Center, Boise, Idaho and it promises to be a huge show as the superstars of Raw take their final steps in preparation for Sunday’s Pay Per View. Last week saw a shocking, horrifying end to Raw as the the trio of Edge, Christian and Tomko viciously assaulted Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Michaels was subject of an attack via the orders of General Manager Eric Bischoff and Bischoff got exactly what he wanted with Michaels being decimated by the trio. We still have not learned who Michaels will face at Vengeance as Bischoff has withheld that information, wanting Michaels to have as little time to prepare as possible. Will we learn HBK’s opponent tonight or will the Showstopper have to wait until he finally gets to Vengeance?
Chris Jericho was also the subject of a heinous chair shot to the skull last week as his rival Edge alongside Christian did the damage. We know that Jericho has been in a bad way all week long but it has been confirmed that Jericho WILL be in Boise this Monday night. What will Jericho have to say about the assault last week and what will the Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla attempt to do in gaining payback on his opponent this Sunday?
The final piece and perhaps most sickening of last week’s jigsaw was Ric Flair. Flair was the subject of a disgusting con-chair-to at the hands of Edge and Christian as Christian got one over in a big way on his rival. We know for sure that Flair will not be at Raw this Monday, however we have learned that we will hear from the Nature Boy live via satellite from his home in Charlotte as good ol’ J.R will conduct an interview with the 16 time World champion. What will Flair have to say about the events that transpired last week? And what will Flair have to say about his upcoming match with Christian this Sunday? You won’t wanna miss it.
Also last week we saw the Cerebral Assassin at his very best as Triple H conjured up a plan with the duo of William Regal and Mark Jindrak. The Game approached the duo backstage before agreeing a deal where Jindrak would soften up World champion and Triple H’s opponent at Vengeance, Batista. Jindrak held up his end of the deal as he got himself disqualified before launching an assault of the champion. This led to Triple H making his presence felt and coming down the ramp before delivering a brutal sledgehammer shot to his long time rival, sending Batista down and out. We have been informed that tonight, with it being the final opportunity for both men to get inside their opponent’s head, there will be a face off between these two men. Both Batista and Triple H will get the chance to make their intentions known ahead of this huge clash at Vengeance but the real question ahead of Monday night will be, can either man really refrain from letting their actions do the talking?
The other end of Triple H ‘s deal with William Regal and Mark Jindrak was that Triple H would do their dirty work and take out Big Show. Much like Jindrak and Regal held up their end, Triple H did the same and laid out the World’s Largest Athlete backstage, leaving Show to be stretchered out of the arena. Regal and Jindrak have consistently gotten the upper hand on the giant ahead of Jindrak’s clash with Show come Vengeance. Will tonight see a shift in momentum or will the ‘Protégé’ Jindrak yet again trump the former World champion?
And finally, last week saw a potentially defining moment ahead of Shelton Benjamin's quest to recapture the Intercontinental Championship. Benjamin and tag team partner Charlie Haas managed to defeat Muhammad Hassan and The Great Khali in tag team action. With Benjamin having to take on the duo singlehandedly at Vengeance, will last week's victory be the all important confidence boost Benjamin needed? Or will the Arabian Entity members simply step their game up here tonight ahead of the massive showdown this Sunday?
It is sure to be a bumpy ride in Boise and with just six nights until the Raw superstars head to Las Vegas, who will gamble their Vengeance chances on this final stop? Be sure not to miss it!
Confirmed for Raw:
World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Triple H will meet face to face.
Ric Flair will be interviewed live via satellite
